Nigeria forward Joy Omewa continues to make headlines in Denmark, finding the back of the net once again to help Fortuna Hjørring secure a 2–2 draw against FC Nordsjælland in a Danish A-Liga Round 10 encounter on Saturday afternoon.

Fresh off her maiden Super Falcons call-up for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers, the in-form 22-year-old reinforced her credentials with another composed finish in the 66th minute — restoring Fortuna’s lead after a well-timed run inside the box.

Though Anna Walter later equalised for Nordsjælland, Omewa’s influence was again undeniable, as she extended her remarkable scoring streak to eight consecutive matches across all competitions.

Earlier in the week, the former Confluence Queens striker celebrated her 100th appearance for Fortuna Hjørring, marking the milestone with a winning goal in their UEFA Women’s Europa Cup victory over Vorskla Poltava.

Omewa’s consistency, composure, and confidence in front of goal continue to make a strong case for her growing importance to both club and country.
