Serie A: Ivan Juric calls for strong mentality from Ademola Lookman after transfer saga

By Wale Mustapha

Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric has urged Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman to maintain a positive and professional attitude following a turbulent summer transfer window.

Lookman sought a move to Inter Milan, submitting a transfer request after Atalanta rejected two bids from the Nerazzurri. The 27-year-old also went missing from training for a period before returning to the squad.

Despite returning to action, Lookman is yet to register a goal or assist for La Dea this season.

Juric, however, remains encouraged by the winger’s recent attitude in training and expects him to continue on that path.

“I hope that he will return from international duty with the same attitude that I saw in the last two or three weeks he worked with us, where I had no complaints,” Juric told Sport Mediaset.

The coach’s comments underscore the importance of mental resilience as Lookman seeks to regain form and consistency for Atalanta in Serie A.
