Swedish top-flight side Mjällby AIF have confirmed the signing of highly rated Nigerian youngster Ibrahim Adewale from Tripple 44 Football Academy, Nigeria Footballng reports.
  
 
The 19-year-old, who is comfortable operating both as a wing-back and a forward, has signed a long-term contract with the Allsvenskan club that will keep him at Strandvallen until the end of the 2030 season.
Adewale joins Mjällby after an impressive spell with IF Karlstad Fotboll, where he established himself as one of the standout performers in Ettan Norra — Sweden’s third tier.
He scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 29 appearances, showcasing his versatility and attacking instinct.
Developed at Tripple 44 Football Academy in Nigeria, Adewale initially joined IF Karlstad on loan, where his performances quickly caught the attention of Mjällby’s scouts.
Following weeks of negotiations, the Swedish club reached a permanent transfer agreement with the Nigerian academy.
“We are very happy that Ibrahim has chosen to take the next step in his career here with us at Mjällby AIF. He is a great talent with top qualities in his speed, goal scoring and work capacity,” said Hasse Larsson, the club’s sports director.
Adewale is set to officially join Mjällby AIF in January 2026, as he prepares to embark on the next phase of his professional career.
The Swedish club expressed confidence that his energy, technical ability, and attacking flair will make him a valuable addition to their squad in the seasons ahead.
