Victor Boniface Reflects on “Crazy” Loan Spell at Werder Bremen

Victor Boniface has opened up about his difficult 2025–26 loan spell at SV Werder Bremen, describing the campaign as both “crazy” and challenging after enduring injuries, failed transfer moves, and a sharp decline in form.

The Nigerian striker struggled throughout the season after departing parent club Bayer 04 Leverkusen on loan, failing to score in 11 Bundesliga appearances for Bremen.

Boniface’s campaign was heavily disrupted by recurring knee injuries and fitness concerns, which restricted him mostly to substitute appearances.

Despite the disappointing spell, the forward took to his official X account to thank the club’s supporters, staff, and teammates while expressing his frustration over the season.

“Wow. Crazy season for me, a lot has happened,” Boniface wrote.

“Just want to say thank you very much to fans and staff and players.”
