Chiamaka Nnadozie nominated for Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria’s number one goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been nominated for the prestigious Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award, following a year of outstanding performances for both club and country.

The Super Falcons star will compete for the honour alongside Hannah Hampton, Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Anna Moorhouse, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper enjoyed a remarkable 2024–25 season, excelling for her former club Paris FC and the Nigeria women’s national team.

At club level, Nnadozie played a decisive role in helping Paris FC win the Coupe de Féminine in May, ending the club’s 20-year wait for silverware. She made two crucial saves in the penalty shootout as Paris FC triumphed 5–4.

On the international stage, she was equally impressive, guiding Nigeria to victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Her consistency and leadership at the back earned her four clean sheets and the award for Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Nnadozie’s stellar year has also seen her nominated for the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award and listed among the contenders for the inaugural Women’s Yachine Trophy.

The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025 will honour the world’s top football talents across various categories. Voting is open to coaches, team captains, media representatives, and fans on FIFA.com until November 28, 2025.
