Nigeria’s U17 women’s team, the Flamingos, delivered a ruthless performance as they dismantled Nazareth Queens 7–0 in a one-sided encounter, underlining their growing form ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Flamingos wasted no time asserting dominance, with Wuraola Deborah Olayiwola firing them ahead in the 8th minute.
Their control of the game remained evident throughout the first half, and Oluebube Jessica Umejiaku doubled the lead in the 34th minute to give Nigeria a deserved 2–0 advantage at the break.
After halftime, the floodgates opened. Harmony Chidi struck twice in quick succession (48’ and 54’) to put the game beyond reach.
Oluwakemi Adegbuyi added a fifth from the penalty spot in the 59th minute, before Islamiyat Oluwatosin Yusuf (62’) and Favour Enodumwenben (67’) capped off an emphatic victory.
The result marks consecutive dominant wins for the Flamingos, following their 6–0 triumph over Generation Next.
With confidence high and attacking firepower on full display, Nigeria’s U17 side appears to be building strong momentum ahead of their upcoming qualifier clash against Guinea.
