From the opening whistle, Rivers Angels asserted their dominance, controlling possession and dictating the tempo of the game. Their attacking intent paid off in the 20th minute when Abasiofon Uwah broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal, setting the tone for what would become a one-sided encounter.
Just three minutes later, Grace Saliu doubled the advantage, capitalizing on defensive lapses to put her side firmly in control. The momentum continued as Taiwo Ajibade added a third in the 26th minute, effectively putting the contest beyond reach before the half-hour mark.
Rivers Angels were relentless, and their attacking prowess was on full display once again in the 38th minute when Rasheedat Salau found the back of the net to make it 4–0 before halftime.
Despite efforts from Osklean Football Academy to regroup in the second half, they struggled to break through a well-organized Rivers Angels defense. The scoreline remained unchanged, with Rivers Angels comfortably seeing out the game to secure a comprehensive victory.
The triumph underscores Rivers Angels’ continued dominance in women’s football within the state, showcasing their depth, experience, and clinical finishing on the big stage.
