Daniel Ogunmodede Emerges as Top Coaching Target for Enyimba and Kano Pillars

Nigeria Premier Football League heavyweights Enyimba International and Kano Pillars have reportedly identified former Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede as their leading candidate to fill their vacant managerial positions ahead of the new season.

Ogunmodede recently brought an end to a remarkable 13-year spell with the Ikenne-based club, where he progressed through the ranks and played a key role in transforming Remo Stars into one of the country’s top football sides.

The highly respected tactician etched his name into the club’s history by guiding Remo Stars to their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, a feat that further enhanced his reputation as one of Nigeria’s finest coaches.

With both Enyimba and Kano Pillars seeking to bolster their technical teams ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, Ogunmodede has emerged as a leading contender for either role. However, neither club has officially announced an appointment.

Following his successful spell at Remo Stars, Ogunmodede is expected to be one of the most sought-after coaches in the NPFL during the ongoing transfer window.
