Jordan Zirkzee: Dutch-Nigerian forward joins AS Trencin on free transfer from NAC Breda U21

Dutch-Nigerian centre-forward Jordan Zirkzee has joined Slovak side AS Trencin on a free transfer from NAC Breda U21. The 21-year-old moves into senior football in the Nike Liga after signing for the club on 15 July 2026.
Zirkzee, born in Schiedam and standing at 1.87m, arrives as a right-footed attacking option through the middle for Trencin. His switch follows two years in the NAC Breda system, where he featured regularly at under-21 level after arriving from Bayer Leverkusen’s academy.
The forward built up substantial youth experience in Germany and the Netherlands before this move. He first came through the ranks at Feyenoord, progressing from the youth set-up into their under-17 side, before transferring to Leverkusen’s youth department in 2021. There he advanced from under-17 to under-19 level, gaining exposure in domestic youth leagues and the UEFA Youth League.
Across his youth career, Zirkzee has accumulated more than 100 appearances in various junior competitions, with consistent scoring returns in under-21 football. His record includes goals in the U19-Bundesliga West and multiple Dutch U21 divisions, as well as cup outings in the DFB-Pokal der Junioren.
Zirkzee’s move to AS Trencin is a permanent free transfer, giving the Nike Liga club a new centre-forward option as he steps up from youth football into a senior environment.
