Olakunle Olusegun: Nigeria winger at Krasnodar linked with Rostov move

Nigeria winger Olakunle Olusegun is being linked with a move from Russian champions Krasnodar to Premier Liga rivals Rostov, with the 24-year-old reportedly on the radar after an impressive spell in the top flight.
Olusegun, who operates primarily as a left winger and wears the No 7 shirt for Krasnodar, is under contract with the club until 30 June 2028, meaning Rostov would likely need to pay a significant fee to prise him away. He is currently valued at around €2.5m, a figure that is expected to form the baseline for any negotiations between the clubs.
The Ilorin-born forward has amassed more than 100 Premier Liga appearances for Krasnodar, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists, underlining his status as a regular contributor at the top level in Russia. He also played his part in Krasnodar’s title-winning campaign in 2025, earning a Russian championship medal during that run.
Olusegun first joined Krasnodar in July 2022 from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv for a reported €1.2m and has since developed into a key attacking option. Last season he spent time on loan at fellow Premier Liga side Pari NN before returning to Krasnodar at the end of the 2025-26 campaign, which has added to speculation over his long-term role at his parent club.
For now, Olusegun remains a Krasnodar player with two years gone on a long-term deal and four seasons still to run, leaving the club in a strong position should Rostov decide to turn their interest into a formal offer.
