Madagascar to Host Super Eagles in Morocco for AFCON 2027 Qualifier

Madagascar will host Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Morocco during the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign.
The Football Federation of Madagascar has chosen Morocco as the venue for its home fixtures after stadiums in the country failed to receive approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to stage international matches.
As a result, the Barea will play their home games on neutral territory, with Morocco selected to host their highly anticipated clash against Nigeria.
Madagascar have been drawn alongside Nigeria, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau in the AFCON 2027 qualifying group.
The Super Eagles will therefore travel to Morocco for what will officially be Madagascar’s home fixture in the qualifying series.
CAF’s strict stadium licensing requirements have forced several African nations to relocate their home matches in recent years after their stadiums failed to meet the required standards for international competitions.
