Moses Usor injury doubt for LASK’s Champions League clash with Liverpool

LASK forward Moses Usor is a doubt for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League meeting with Liverpool after suffering a shoulder injury in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat by Rapid Wien.
The Nigeria international came on for Austrian striker Christoph Lang in the 61st minute at the Raiffeisen Arena, but was unable to continue for long. Usor was replaced 12 minutes later by United States forward Samuel Adediran.
LASK head coach Dietmar Kuhbauer confirmed the problem after the match and said he hoped the 24-year-old would make a quick recovery.
“Mo has a slight injury to his shoulder joint. I hope it won’t take too long,” Kuhbauer said via Laola.
Usor made his Super Eagles debut during the September international break and marked the occasion with a goal in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Madagascar in Uyo.
That impressive start to his international career has now been interrupted just before LASK begin a demanding run of fixtures. Kuhbauer’s side are due to play eight matches in all competitions over the next four weeks, making the winger’s availability particularly important to the Austrian club.
Usor will hope the injury does not keep him out for long as he attempts to return quickly and continue his strong beginning to the campaign.
