Ifeanyi Udeze faults Samuel Eto’o in expelled Andre Onana’s Cameroon camp saga

Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze, former Super Eagles’ left back and expressed disappointment on how Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT president, Samuel Eto’o handled the embarrassing saga of goalkeeper, Andre Onana at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Onana was expelled from the Indomitable Lions’ squad after fallen out with coach Rigobert Song as it was alleged that the Inter Milan safe hand expressed displeasure over Eto’o’ interference on the team’s selection.
The Inter Milan shotstopper who was in goal for Cameroon’s opening match against Switzerland, took to his social media page to react to his unfortunate explusion from the team after missing the 3-3 draw against Serbia.
Reacting to the development, the Super Eagles left back at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea/Japan feels Eto’s didn’t handle the issue professionally, suggesting that he should rather focus on his administrative duties.
“Eto’s is doing very well with the FECAFOOT bit getting involved with the technical matters of the team is not a good thing, its getting too much,” he continued.
“He was wrong to interfere in issues involving coach and player, the issues should have been resolved better.”
Cameroon recorded just a point from from two games in the group stages and will have a make or mar game against Brazil on Friday.
