U20 Afcon: Flying Eagles hit Keffi United for seven in build-up friendly

Flying Eagles of Nigeria continue with their preparation for the U20 African Cup of Nations with another massive 7-0 win over Keffi Selected team on Saturday in Abuja.

The team under Coach Ladan Bosso have been putting finishing touches on areas where improvement are required and it seems may have sort out the goal scoring aspect.

The match saw the team scoring six goals in the opening half with Niger Tornadoes’ Jonas Emmanuel getting a hat trick of those goals.

Other goal scorers from the mauling of Keffi team include Haliru Seriki, Emmanuel Ekpeyong, Ibrahim Yahaya and Obiaku Ifesinachi.

Coach Ladan Bosso’s side have now scored 16 goals in their last three friendly matches played since the team regrouped two weeks ago.

The results may have also served as morale booster for the technical crew as they build up towards the main tournament.

The U20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place 18th February – 12th March, 2023 in Egypt. The top four teams will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup scheduled to place in Indonesia 20th May – 11th June next year.
