“The road is too long” – Victor Osimhen reacts to Napoli’s win over Juventus

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen says his Italian Serie A side, Napoli still has a long way to go if it is to emerge as league Champions following a 5-1 victory over former champions, Juventus on Friday.

Osimhen scored two goals with an assist to help the leaders to a comfortable win as the victory was his side’s fourth straight consecutive Serie A Head-to-Head win against the Bianconeri at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

“The road is too long, we must continue carrying out the coach’s instructions and I think at the end of the season we have a good chance,” Osimhen told DAZN after the match.

“It was a fantastic night, Forza Napoli always! Congratulations to the team, and big respect to Juventus for the fight, we needed this more. I am happy for the result and happy to contribute to the team with two goals and an assist. We want to build on this momentum.

“I always say we have a great squad with quality players and of course, we cannot shy away from the quality players Juventus possess. It was a good fight, I am glad we came out on top and we must continue like this.”

Napoli moved nine points clear at the league summit with the win.
