Karim Adeyemi: Nigerian-born facing three-week injury on the sidelines

Borussia Dortmund forward of Nigerian descent, Karim Adeyemi has been officially ruled out for about three weeks with a left ankle injury.
On Monday, Dortmund confirmed that the 21-year-old tore a muscle fiber in his ankle after scoring the opener with his heel and then got injured before he went off in the 35th minute in their 4-1 win over Hertha Berlin on Sunday.
The German international’s lone goal helped Dortmund sink Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League tie but the Bundesliga outfit will have to lineup without him in the second leg against the English outfit.
He is also set to miss Bundesliga games against Hoffenheim and Leipzig, the visit to Chelsea in the Champions League, and the Ruhr derby against Schalke.
However, the player’s recent social media post reveals he is in recovery mode ahead of the Champions League round of 16 second-leg clash against Chelsea.
Adeyemi was pictured enjoying his favorite Nigerian dish Fufu scored three goals and set up another in his last three games.
Dortmund is in second place behind leader Bayern Munich but ahead of Union Berlin on goal difference as all three teams have 43 points after 21 matches.
