Osimhen will break the striker curse at Chelsea, says Emmanuel Petit

World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit believes Victor Osimhen has what it takes to break the striker’s curse at Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge landlord have failed to score goals this season despite its array of strikers and the Nigerian forward is the sought-after after scoring 19 goals in 20 Serie A appearances with Napoli this season.
Osimhen has been linked with a host of clubs because of his stellar performance in the Serie A this season but the forward is yet to speak on his future as Napoli have splashed a hundred million euros price tag on the Nigeria star.
And the former Chelsea midfielder has urged the Blues to go for Osimhen because he believes it’s only him that has the solutions to striking crisis at the club.
“If I was Chelsea, I would go for Osimhen over the likes of Marcus Thuram,” Petit told media.
“You know there is a striker’s curse at Chelsea but someday this will be broken and he could do it. I have followed Osimhen since he played for Lille and he was already a very good striker.
“Since he left for Italy, where the pressure is very high and the fans are passionate, he’s played brilliantly.”
