Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso is confident his team can end their U20 Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a podium finish in Egypt.
Lanky forward Adama Bojang capitalised on a defensive slip by captain Daniel Bameyi to slot beyond goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso a seventh minute winner, condemning the Flying Eagles to a third place match.
Despite missing out on their 10th Afcon final appearance, the Flying Eagles handler insists they will focus their attention on third place match against the Tunisians on Friday.
“Definitely we have lost out. We thank God that we have picked the World Cup ticket. The most important thing now is to go back home and modify so many things about the team,” Bosso told media.
“We have to work on them with the support of Nigerians and precisely the Federation. Our best match we lost out. It’s not by the number of touches or how well you play but by the outcome of the match. The outcome of the match showed that we can not go for the trophy.
“We still have one match to play that is the third place. We just believe that we just going to play against Tunisia. If we were disturbed by the turbulence of our last match, it might affect us during the third-place match.
