‘Many things we can improve’ – Randy Waldrum not getting carried away by Nigeria winning streak

Nigeria national team coach, Randy Waldrum has refused to be carried away by the impressive run of wins following the latest 3-0 victory over New Zealand in an international friendly in Antalya, Turkey on Tuesday.
Arriving Turkey on the back on a 1-0 win over Costa Rica, the Super Falcons consolidated on their resurgent with a 2-1 win over Haiti thanks to Esther Okonronkwo and Asisat Oshoala efforts last Friday.
Reflecting on the back-to-back wins in the Turkish city, the American tactician played down the excitement of the results as he insists there is still a lot to improve on in the squad ahead of the global showpiece.
“I think it’s probably still a bit. I mean we got the three goals, we got the clean sheet,” Waldrum told NFF TV.
“So I guess maybe I’m a little harsh with that grade but there are still so many things we can improve on and do better. I think we will get there. This last two camps we’ve been building and it’s getting better and better.
“The Super Falcons will next go into a training camp for a few weeks prior to heading over to Australia and that will give us a good chance to work out some of this things I made mention earlier on like the passes and shapes of the players.”
Nigeria are placed in Group B of the FIFA Women’s World Cup with Canada, Republic of Ireland and Australia.
