Aurelio De Laurentis drops strong hint on future of Victor Osimhen with Napoli

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis insists club’s top striker, Victor Osimhen will not be leaving this summer.

Osimhen has continued to hug global headlines, having consistently shone in front of goals in many wins , including the vital leveling goal at Udinese which ended a 33-year Serie A title drought for Napoli.

The Super Eagles star scored 22 goals in 27 league appearances this season, and is receiving heavy interests from a host of top clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich, PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of the summer.

On the back of the team’s remarkable success of winning the Scudetto with five games to spare, the Napoli supremo gave a strong statement about Osimhen’s future.

“I will not sell Osimhen this summer, no way”, De Laurentis was quoted by Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old Osimhen scored the decisive goal for Napoli on Thursday in their 1-1 draw against Udinese, a result that was enough for the Partenopei to win the Serie A title after 33 years.

 He joined them from Lille in 2020 and has scored 55 times in just 96 appearances for Napoli so far and look set to win the Golden Boot at the end of the season.
