Nigeria foes, Ireland to tackle France, Colombia in pre-Women’s World Cup games

Nigeria’s FIFA Women’s World Cup group B opponent, Republic of Ireland will trade tackles with France and Colombia in a friendly encounter next month.
After thrashing Zambia 3-2, FIFA WWC debutants, Ireland will engage France on July six before taking on Colombia on July 14.
Ireland have played four exhibition matches this year as they recorded three goals and conceded five goals.
On February 22, Vera Pauw’s side played a barren draw with China, a double header was secured in April for Ireland against USA but lost the first encounter 2-0 on April 8 before bowing 1-0 four days later and bouncing back to wining ways with victory over the Copper Queens on June 22.
The Irish are brainstorming on getting the best outing on their debut as the Girls in Green will begin their campaign against co-host Australia on July 20, and square up against Olympic champions, Canada six days later.
They will round up their group game against the Super Falcons on the 31st of July.
