Fans criticize Sadiq Umar for posting daughter without wearing hijab

After a long absence due to a severe injury, the Nigeria international has since rejoined the team engaged in physical exercises, and had ball contact during the session.
The 26-year-old forward took to his official social media platforms to share his recovery process ahead of the new season as he was pictured with his daughter, Aisha who joined the training.
Alongside the photos was a message of appreciation to his beautiful daughter.
“AISHA you a blessing the mother of the believers all I pray is my GOD should keep protecting and guiding you to the straight path,” the post reads.
However, the post was met with criticism by religious extremists who questioned his parenting for not adorning his girl-child with hijab, an Islamic headscarf.
The situation seems to hit home as the Super Eagles striker has now locked his comment but however, left the post running on his official Instagram handle.
Sadiq is nearing the end of his recovery, recalling the distant September 11 when he suffered a right knee injury during his third game in a Real Sociedad shirt.
However, the specific timeline for his full recovery and readiness for competitive play remains uncertain.
