Former national U-17 coach and Super Eagles forward, Daniel Amunike has advised Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen on his next move from the Italian Serie A side.
Osimhen is a wanted player across Europe by top clubs with the Neapolitan set to keep the Super Eagles player as clubs are not ready to meet the evaluation of Napoli for the former Lille player.
And the former African Footballer of the year advised the former Lille star to weigh his options very well with regards to his stay at the Italian champions to replicate his form like he did last season.
“I am happy for him [Osimhen] but you sometimes in football, you have to look at the options that would give you the continuity to be able to play and grow as a player,” Amunike told Brila FM.
“To continue to establish yourself and repeat what you have done in the previous season.”
Osimhen has been tipped to possibly move to the French side, Paris Saint-German (PSG) with the evaluation that only the French champions can meet up with the player’s prize.
Amidst the links and transfer, Amunike advised Osimhen to ensure he stays in a place where he would be able to have first-team action next season.
“I think Victor is a very smart guy and he knows what he wants.” He continued.
“I know he is going to take the best decision that would favour his career. At the end of the day, no matter how much they sign you in this game, what matters most is the capacity for you to continue to replicate the things that people have seen in you. Things that you have done.
“I think it will be very important for him for his success and continuity in terms of what he has been able to do in this past season,” he concluded.
