Fisayo Dele-Bashiru bags brace in Turkish Super Lig debut for Hatayspor

Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored two goals during his debut game for Turkish Super Lig side, Hatayspor as his new team thrashed Pendikspor 5-1 at the Pendik Stadyumu on Saturday.
The visitors raced to a three-goal lead in the first half to stamp their dominance during the game.
Swedish forward Carlos Strandberg scored the opening goal of the encounter in the third minute of play before German midfielder, Gorkem Saglam doubled the lead in the 23rd minute.
After the halftime break, Bertug Yildrim increased the lead to three after incessant attempts from Hatayspor’s attackers.
Dele-Bashiru scored his first goal of the match in the 57th minute as he received a backheel pass from Saglam before slotting the ball into the back of the net.
Five minutes before full-time, he scored his second goal to increase Hatayspor’s lead to five after receiving a long ball from Georgi Aburjania and rounding up the goalkeeper to slot the ball into an empty net.
Brazilian forward Thuram reduced the deficit for Pendikspor in the additional minutes of the second half after latching onto a rebound from a free kick.
Dele Bashiru played a full 90 minutes for Hatayspor as his brace helped his team to an opening matchday win which lifted them to the top of the table. The team will next face Kasimpasa on August 19 in a league game.
