Nigeria forward Chinaza Uchendu wins top scorer gong in Korean Cup

Nigerian forward, Chinaza Uchendu emerged as the top goal scorer of the South Korean Cup tournament.
The former Braga forward helped her side reach the semi-final of the Cup which was concluded in July. She scored a total number of five goals at the end of the tournament.
The 2018 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) winner took to her social media pages to express her joy after receiving a certificate and plaque for her top goal-scorer feat.
“Thanks to Korea Football Association and thanks to GOD (Top scorer),” she tweeted.

Uchendu played for Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Rivers Angels from the start of 2017 until July 2018 after that she transferred to Braga in Portugal.
She joined Linkopings in 2020 but her stay in Sweden was shortlived after an injury during her competitive debut for the team.
A reprieve came in South Korea when she joined Gyeongju in 2022 scoring three goals as her team finished second on the league log with 49 points, three points behind Incheon Hyundai Steel.
During her second season (2023), the team finished a place and point outside the Playoffs places.
