By Saheed Afolabi
The Bauchi State government have relieved Aminu Umar of his appointment as the chairman of Wikki Tourists.
In a letter signed by the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Salis Gamawa confirmed the sacking of Umar from the administrative duties of the club.
According to Gamawa, the reason for the sacking of Umar was an allegation of him disregarding the due process of handling the state owned club.
There’s no replacement that have been put forward yet for Umar, while an interim Wikki Tourists management committee was inaugurated on August 29 as the club awaits a new leadership from the Bauchi State government.
The Giant Elephants were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season as they will compete in the NNL this season.
