Technical crew of Kwara United led by Coach Abdulazeez Mohammed has been given two-matche ultimatum to turn around the fortunes of the Nigeria Premier Football League club or get booted out.
The Ilorin based side opened the season campaign with a goalless draw against Gombe United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, and followed with another goalless against Shooting Stars, before losing by 1-0 to Bendel Insurance.
The Harmony Warriors were taken to the cleaners by Enyimba in Aba after losing 3-0 on Sunday to remain winless this season and general manager, Bashir Badawiy said the Management will no longer tolerate any negative result.
“The team has no excuse not to perform, going by the commitment of the Government, determination of the Management and sacrifice by the Fans, Supporters & Stakeholders. They should rather perform or give way,” he said.
Kwara United have just two points from four matches played, drawing two and losing two so far, more worries for coach Azeez Mohammed as the season continues.
“We are playing in a dangerous League, the Abridged League and we cannot tolerate this kind of results,” he concluded.
It’s the worst start to the season for the Harmony Boys since the 2019/20 season with the team being the only one still in search of their first goal in the league.
The two matches ultimatum involves Kwara United upcoming clashes with Akwa United and Plateau United.
The team will square up against Akwa United in their adopted home in Ibadan on Wednesday, and play away to both Plateau United in Jos, and Nasarawa United in Kaduna in that order.
