Former captain of Nigeria’s Beach Soccer national team, Abu Azeez has completed a one-season transfer deal to play for top Bangladesh club, Chittagong Abahani.
The club announced the capture of the experienced striker on Thursday through their official Social Media pages.
Azeez also shared a picture of his unveiling on X handle expressing his delight to be joining the team.
The 29-year-old veteran striker is a notable name in the Nigeria club football leagues after playing for different teams for a sterling career.
The Lagos born player started his amateur football sojourn with Owibeseb in 2006 before signing his first professional contract with defunct Bridge FC in 2009.
Between 2013 and 2020, Abu Azeez played for Kwara United, Warri Wolves, Enyimba FC, Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Remo Stars and Warri Wolves for his second stint.
He is note popular with the Beach Soccer national team as he has represented Nigeria at many international competitions including the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup where he was inducted as one of the best to have played the sport.
