Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman is expecting a tougher encounter against Angola when they clash in the quarter final of the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Abidjan.
The Super Eagles strolled past ancient rivals Cameroon following a 2-0 win on Thursday thanks to a brace from Atalanta winger to reach the quarter final of the competition.
In the wake of the West Africans progression at the expense of the Indomitable Lions, the former England youth international insists his side will be well prepared for the Angolans after a thorough technical analysis.
“Angola are a good team. We’ll analyze them and prepare. The further you go, the tougher it gets so we’ll take it game by game,” Lookman told the Press.
“I love this atmosphere, it’s incredible. Our fans pushed us to the end because this was Cameroon, and when you wear the Super Eagles shirt, some games resonate more than others.”
The Super Eagles will take on the Palancas Negras (Black Sable antelopes) on Friday, February second at the Felix stadium, Abidjan.
