Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich through director, Hasan Salihamidzic has warned Barcelona to keep off Robert Lewandowski.

The Bavarian wants to extend the 33-year-old stay at the club but is being fought by Barcelona who has promised to improve the player’s wages in the summer.

“Lewandowski leaving this summer is not an option. He has a contract until 2023. We will have some talks soon and we will see how they develop and how to act afterward. We want him to stay,” Salihamidzic said in an interview on Sky Deutschland.

“We have the best player in the world and we want him to stay here. We are proud of him and we are very fond of him. We haven’t negotiated with him yet, but we will,” Salihamidzic added.

The Polish is said to be keen on extending his deal with Bayern but wants a better offer before signing a new deal with a chunk of teams in Europe said to be keen on his services.
