Beyond Limit end United States tour in defeat vs Orlando City

Beyond won two games in the group stage of the invitational tourney before meeting Orlando City and Promise Meliga gave the No Limits Boys the lead at the break before slacking off at the restart.

The MLSNEXT side, however quickly turned things around en-route scoring four goals to completely blow away their counterparts in super fashion.  The Ikenne-based side won two of their three games, with four goals scored, two conceded, and a clean sheet to finish second at the GA Cup.

Despite the defeat, coach Ajibolade Olumide is happy with his team’s experience in the United States of America, USA. the opportunity to rub shoulders with European giants like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Real Madrid.

“All through their careers, the evolution of their mind on what is possible,” he told Pulse Sports.

“It’s not TCC level of competition, it’s a different level of organization, physicality, pressure, and demands a big mentality. Dealing with, an inferiority complex, and challenging their fears. It’s a lot and a priceless opportunity.

“14-year-old Nigerian kids rubbing shoulders with their counterparts from Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, etc. We stay in the same hotel and I am glad to just watch them meet new people, and interact.”
