CAF Women’s Champions League: Edo Queens to start campaign against CBE FC

Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Champions, Edo Queens will begin their campaign at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League against Ethiopian opposition.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the fixture for the fourth edition of the tournament on Friday.
Moses Aduku’s side will open their campaign against Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC on November 10.
The Group B opener will take place at the Laarbi Zaouli, Casablanca, kicking off by 18:00 after Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies clash with FC Masar, also known as Tutankhamun.
Three days later, Nigerian women’s league winners will meet Tutankhamun (Egypt) before rounding up their group campaign against holders, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, on November 16.
The top two teams from the group will qualify for the semi-final to face any of AS FAR FC, Aigles de la Medina, TP Mazembe, or University of Western Cape.
South Africa perennial league winners, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies won the title in 2021 and 2023.
The host of his year’s competition, AS FAR FC emerged as winners on home soil in 2022 against Sundowns.
