Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is in mourning after the death of a player in the league.
El-Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper, Agbor Ekoi is dead following a road accident.
It was gathered that Ekoi, who also played for Sporting Lagos died on Thursday.
According to his club, Warriors, Ekoi died after a road crash.
“Sad News. Former Sporting Lagos and current El-Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper Agbor Ekoi has passed away following a fatal road accident. “Rest in peace Dear Legend.” the club announced.
Ekoi passed away at the age of 27. The goalie joined El Kanemi Warriors ahead of the 2024/2025 league campaign.
He previously played for Sporting Lagos before his recent switch and demise.
