Enyimba shortlist six players for October Fans Player of the Month award

Nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions Enyimba FC have named six candidates for their October Fans Player of the Month award.

The People’s Elephant revealed the shortlist on Tuesday through the club’s official X account, with Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, Richard Ezinwa, Obichere Odinaka, Hamisu Salisu, Idris Bonni and Emeka Onyema all in contention.

The nominees were recognised for their contributions to Emmanuel Deutsch’s team during October, a period in which Enyimba began to recover from a difficult opening to the 2026/27 NPFL season.

Fans will choose the winner through Enyimba’s social media platforms. The club says the result will be announced before its Matchday 10 fixture against Nasarawa United in Lafia on October 25.

The award was also contested by three players in September: Wonah Williams, goalkeeper Dede Dare and Chibueze Damian. Wonah Williams ultimately claimed last month’s prize.
