Eseosa Sule: Nigeria-Scotland striker joins St Mirren from West Brom U21 on long-term deal

Nigeria-Scotland forward Eseosa Sule has joined St Mirren from West Bromwich Albion’s Under-21s, signing a contract with the Scottish Premiership club until 31 May 2029. The 20-year-old centre-forward makes the move back to Scotland after a spell in the English development system.

Glasgow-born Sule arrives in Paisley having most recently been part of West Brom’s U21 set-up, following a January return from a loan spell at Motherwell last season. His switch to St Mirren marks his first permanent move into a Premiership first-team squad.

Sule has built a record of regular goals at youth and development level, scoring 14 times in 40 Premier League 2 appearances and adding nine goals in 24 matches in the U18 Premier League. He also struck five goals in nine outings in the Premier League Cup, underlining his impact across academy competitions.

The striker originally left Celtic’s youth ranks in January 2023 to join West Brom’s under-18 side, progressing to the club’s U21 squad the following year. A loan move to Motherwell for the first half of the 2025-26 campaign gave him his first taste of senior Scottish football before he returned to the Midlands.

Sule’s deal ties him to St Mirren through the 2028-29 season as the club add attacking depth ahead of the new Premiership campaign.
