Etebo Returns to Las Palmas Squad for Levante Showdown

Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is poised for a comeback with Spanish outfit Las Palmas as he features in the 24-man squad set to take on Levante in Sunday’s highly anticipated LaLiga clash, marking his recovery from an injury setback. Etebo, who sustained an injury during Las Palmas’ 2-0 league loss to Villarreal last month, subsequently missed crucial fixtures against Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna, along with Nigeria’s international friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

The 22-year-old playmaker, who resumed training earlier this week, has made a swift return, securing his spot in Las Palmas’ squad for the upcoming fixture. Joining him in the squad is Ezekiel Imoh, the Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medallist, amplifying the team’s strength for this crucial encounter.

Since his arrival at Las Palmas on loan from Portuguese side Feirense in January, former Warri Wolves star Etebo has made a notable impact, featuring in seven league matches for the Spanish club. His return to the squad serves as a significant boost for Las Palmas, who currently find themselves in the 18th position in the LaLiga standings, amassing 21 points from 30 games.

The inclusion of Etebo and Imoh in the squad for the Levante showdown underscores the club’s determination to rally and secure vital points in their quest to climb the LaLiga ladder. With the return of Etebo’s midfield prowess and Imoh’s prowess, Las Palmas aims to stage a formidable performance in a bid to turn the tides in their favor in this crucial league encounter.
