Feyenoord step up interest in Nigerian winger Daniel Job

Feyenoord have made contact with Nigerian winger Daniel Job as the 20-year-old attacker prepares to leave Norway this summer.
Feyenoord head scout Micha Jansen spoke to Job after a Kongsvinger training session in Norway on Friday, according to local newspaper Glamdalen, as reported by Voetbalprimeur. The meeting is the strongest indication so far that the Dutch club are considering a move for the highly rated forward.
Job joined Kongsvinger in February 2026 after leaving Sarpsborg 08. The transfer was part of a deal that also saw Noa Williams move in the opposite direction. The Norwegian Football Federation recorded the transfer as completed on 11 February, with Job receiving clearance to play for Kongsvinger the following day.
The Nigeria international has made an immediate impact in Norway’s second tier. He has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 17 league appearances for Kongsvinger during the 2026 campaign, playing a total of 1,424 minutes.
Job turns 21 next week and usually operates as a left winger. He can also play on the right or in a central attacking role. The right-footed player is 1.74 metres tall and is currently valued at about €1m by Transfermarkt.
His form has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including West Ham United and Serie A side Lecce. Sweden’s Expressen reported that both clubs had submitted offers of about €4m for the Nigerian, although it remains unclear whether Kongsvinger accepted either proposal.
Rapid rise in Norway
Job only entered senior Norwegian football in 2024 after developing at Nigeria’s Future Pro Academy. He joined Sarpsborg 08 and initially played for the club’s reserve team, scoring eight goals in 13 appearances.
That form earned him a first-team opportunity and he made his Eliteserien debut in July 2024. Job then spent part of the 2025 season on loan at Egersund, where he scored three goals in 12 league appearances.
He returned to Sarpsborg before completing his move to Kongsvinger in February. Since then, his performances have helped place him on the radar of clubs in England, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Among his seven goals for Kongsvinger are efforts in a 6-1 victory away to Sandnes Ulf and a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win against Sogndal.
Feyenoord have not been reported to have made a formal bid for Job. However, the significance of Friday’s meeting is that Jansen travelled to Norway and spoke directly with the player.
The contact does not mean a transfer is close, but it confirms Feyenoord’s interest alongside that of the clubs already monitoring the Nigerian winger. Job’s value has risen sharply during his first full season with Kongsvinger, increasing the likelihood of further attention before the summer transfer window.
