Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa have arrived in Burkina Faso ahead of the 2026 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament.
The Ghanaian champions departed Accra on Thursday morning as they began their journey towards securing a place in the continental CAF Women’s Champions League.
Ampem Darkoa have been drawn in a competitive group alongside Nigeria’s champions Edo Queens, Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas and AS GNN of Niger.
The Ghanaian side will be aiming to make a strong start to the tournament as they battle some of the leading women’s clubs in the WAFU B region.
Nigeria’s Edo Queens will also be targeting qualification from the group as they continue their bid to represent the region at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
With continental qualification at stake, the 2026 WAFU B tournament promises fierce competition, as the participating clubs compete for regional honours and a place on Africa’s biggest stage.

Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
