First Lazio goal delights Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru couldn’t contain his excitement after scoring his first goal for Italian Serie A side Lazio.

The Super Eagles star found the net during Lazio’s 3-0 UEFA Europa League victory over Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday night, where he also provided an assist.

“I’m very happy to have scored in front of our fans,” he said. “It was important to start well, and I’m pleased with my understanding on the pitch with Boulaye Dia.”

Dele-Bashiru expressed his growing comfort within the team, highlighting the support he’s received.

“I feel at home here; I have a great relationship with everyone, and they’ve all helped me settle in. I’m getting better and better,” he added in an interview with the Lazio Style Channel.

The 23-year-old joined Lazio from Turkish Super Lig club Hatayaspor this summer and is already making an impact.
