“I’m still a threat to them” — Onome Ebi hints at brewing issue with NFF

Nigeria international, Onome Ebi has set the internet abuzz with her latest post which was an alleged dig at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Since being left out of Randy Waldrum’s list for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, there has been a dark cloud surrounding the veteran defender and the management.
The 41-year-old remains the only African player to feature at six World Cups following her involvement with the Super Falcons at the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
However, the veteran defender believed honouring her with a place in the Paris 2024 Falcons team would have been a perfect way to celebrate her and end her national team’s career in style.
Ebi, one of the team’s most experienced players, was notably left out of the squad as Nigeria suffered all-around group-stage defeats.
Meanwhile, she was also part of the squad for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, which incidentally was the last time the Nigeria women’s team featured in the competition.
Since her furious lashed out pertaining to her omission from the Olympics list, Ebi’s posts on social media have been met with numerous negative comments.
On Thursday, she took her official X account to post a picture of her in a lovely dress but the caption once again got fans angry.
Along with the picture was a message that read; “Even from outside, I’m still a threat to them.”
