“It’s a call to serve” – Rangers’ Ilechukwu speaks on Super Eagles appointment

Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers, Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed delight with another opportunity to serve in the national team technical position. 

Ilechukwu was appointed one of the assistants coaches to Super Eagles’ caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen on Monday.

His Remo Stars counterpart, Daniel Ogunmodede will serve as the other assistant.

“A call to serve Nigeria and an opportunity for more hard work, and we will never take this for granted,” Ilechukwu wrote on X. 

“Thank you for the good wishes and the congratulatory messages. I’m humbled.”

The 44-year-old arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo on Monday. It’s the second time Ilechukwu will be working with the national team following his stint with the U-23 Eagles.
