Jose Mourinho wants Jesse Lingard at Roma

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho wants a reunion with Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard in the Serie A.

Lingard is set to leave Old Trafford in the summer when his contract expires and, Mourinho wants the player to join him as he seeks to change the fortunes of the once giant club.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Portuguese is quietly assembling an arsenal of English talent with Lingard set to be his next signing from England.

Mourinho has already reunited with one former United player in Chris Smalling and added to the English core with striker Tammy Abraham, who has already equaled his top-flight scoring record with 15 goals for Roma so far this season, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who was struggling to find his place at Arsenal.

Juventus and AC Milan are the other clubs said to be interested in the player but Lingard would want to be in an environment where he knows people and favors a move to the Italian capital should be decide to move to the Serie A.

In England, West Ham and Newcastle United are the teams said to be interested in the player[ the reports indicate that it would be hard for the midfielder to turn down an offer from a Premier League side.
