Napoli coach, Rudi Garcia has all but ended the speculations of whether Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen will be available for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers between Super Eagles’ encounter against Zimbabwe and Rwanda.

Osimhen suffered a hamstring injury in October 13 during Nigeria’s friendly with Saudi Arabia and has been out injured since then.

The Super Eagles are due to commence their World Cup qualifying campaign later in the month against the Warriors and Rwanda.

Garcia who was speaking ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Union Berlin revealed that the former Lille front man will not be ready until November 25th when the Serie A champions will be taking on Atalanta.

Garcia who was asked to put a timeline on Osimhen’s return said “I’m not concerned with this, the medical department has made plans.

” It seems obvious to me that after these two matches between the Champions League and Empoli, then there is the break. In my opinion he will be ready for Atalanta,” he averred.

Osimhen has now joined Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi as the second player that will miss out of Nigeria’s encounter with Zimbabwe and Rwanda later in the month.

However, Coach Jose Peseiro will be glad to have Taiwo Awoniyi, Zaidu Sanusi, Bruno Onyemaechi, Semi Ajayi and Samuel Chukwueze available for selection after they’ve all put through their injuries.
