Nasarawa Amazons avenge Super Six disappointment, beat Edo Queens to reach President Federation Cup final

Nasarawa Amazons defeated Edo Queens 2-0 to secure their place in the 2025 President Federation Cup final.

Second half goals from Ayatsea Hembafan and Bibiana Odoh in Ayingba sealed victory for the Lafia based side in the semi final.

Hembafan broke the deadlock in the 70th minute while Odoh sealed the win in the 88th minute.

The Solid Babes narrowly missed out of the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title on the Super Six final day after a 0-0 draw with Edo Queens.

They missed lots of goal scoring chances during the game last Saturday and will be happy to make it to the Cup final.

Rivers Angels is their next opponents in the final as Christopher Danjuma’s side hope to end the season on a high note with a silverware.

The last time the team won a title was in 2019 with the FA Cup, their second trophy before the Cup competition eas renamed President Federation Cup.

They have also won the league title twice.
