NFF to Host FIFA-Backed Three-Day Capacity-Building Programme for Women Football Administrators

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has finalized plans to host a three-day capacity-building programme for women football administrators across the country, as part of a FIFA initiative aimed at strengthening women’s football administration.
The programme is scheduled to take place from July 17 to 19 in Abuja and will feature six facilitators, including two appointed by FIFA and four selected by the NFF.
The FIFA delegation comprises women’s football technical experts Thubaelihle Sibanda and Setlhoko Tsholofelo Candy, who will lead sessions alongside experienced Nigerian professionals.
Representing Nigeria are Aisha Falode, a member of the NFF Executive Committee, FIFA Media Committee member, and FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner; Professor Mariam Suleiman of Ahmadu Bello University; Dr. Anthonia Chinyere Uwa, a retired chief lecturer from Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State; and Mohammed Ameenu, a former National League referee, FIFA-trained technical instructor, FIFA-certified safeguarding officer, and Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary.
The capacity-building programme is being coordinated by Ruth David, the NFF’s Director of Competitions and a FIFA/CAF Match Commissioner, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the knowledge, leadership, and administrative capacity of women involved in football governance in Nigeria.
