Niger Tornadoes coach applauds Chelle for integrating NPFL players into Super Eagles

Head coach of Niger Tornadoes, Mohammed Majin, has commended Super Eagles boss Eric Chelle for integrating players from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) into the national team setup.
Chelle included 10 NPFL players in the squad for the recent Unity Cup tournament held in London—a move Majin believes is a positive step toward building a stronger and more inclusive team.
“At least he [Chelle] has shown that giving the home-based players the opportunity to mix with the foreign-based Super Eagles can go places,” Majin told Daily Post.
The Tornadoes’ tactician also lauded Super Eagles midfielder and former NPFL player Papa Daniel Mustapha for his work ethic, discipline, and adaptation to the team’s style of play.
“He is very hardworking, disciplined, and always ready to learn. He’s doing his best and adapting to the system playing with the big boys,” Majin added.
Some of the local league players are expected to feature in Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly against Russia on Friday in Moscow, as Chelle continues to experiment with squad depth and cohesion.
