Nigeria midfielder Boluwatife Adesanya joins Bank El Ahly from Grassrunners FC
Nigeria attacking midfielder Boluwatife Adesanya has joined Egyptian Premier League club Bank El Ahly from Grassrunners FC.
The 19-year-old completed the move on 12 August 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029. Adesanya becomes a Bank El Ahly player after spending the previous part of his career with Grassrunners FC, where he returned following a loan spell at Polissya U19.
Adesanya, who is left-footed, made six appearances in the U19 Premier Liga and recorded one goal and one assist. His performances came during a period that included a loan move to Polissya U19 on 16 March 2026.
The midfielder joined Polissya from Grassrunners FC on loan and returned to his parent club on 30 June, before switching to Bank El Ahly in August. The move to Egypt follows his return from that temporary spell and marks the latest step in his developing career.
Adesanya was born on 18 July 2007 and stands 1.70 metres tall. He has been used primarily in an attacking midfield role, giving Bank El Ahly a young left-footed option in the centre of the pitch.
Bank El Ahly compete in Egypt’s Premier League, while Adesanya arrives from Grassrunners FC after a season that also included football at youth level with Polissya. His contract with the Egyptian club extends through the end of June 2029.
Adesanya’s transfer from Grassrunners FC to Bank El Ahly was completed on 12 August 2026.
