NNL: Abia Comets’ coach ready for ‘difficult to play’ Inter Lagos clash

By Wale Mustapha

Abia Comets FC head coach Okechukwu Ejeh is preparing his side for a challenging Nigeria National League (NNL) encounter against Inter Lagos this weekend.

The Matchday Six clash will see Abia Comets host Inter Lagos at the Unuahia Township Stadium on Saturday.

Ejeh has predicted a tough test for his team, acknowledging Inter Lagos as a formidable opponent that is always difficult to face.

“We’ll be ready and prepared for the clash against Inter Lagos this weekend,” Ejeh said.

“It is not going to be an easy game because Inter Lagos is a good side and always difficult to play.

“But the boys know what is at stake, so I have the confidence that we are going to put up a good performance, which will give us a good chance of securing the maximum points.”

Abia Comets are currently sitting at the top of the Southern Conference Group A standings with 11 points from five matches, and they will be eager to extend their lead with a victory over Inter Lagos.
