NPFL: Tunde Sanni optimistic about turning Kwara United’s fortunes around

Kwara United head coach Tunde Sanni has urged fans to remain patient as he works to restore the club to its former glory in Nigerian football.

The Afonja Warriors have had a mixed season in the NPFL, winning two matches, drawing four, and losing two in their first eight encounters.

Sanni reflected on a recent match against El Kanemi Warriors, where victory slipped away in the closing moments, resulting in a late equalizer and believes that the support of the club’s fans will be crucial for a turnaround.

“We nearly secured victory against El Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri,” Sanni told media.

“We want to send a clear message to our supporters in Ilorin: with their backing, Kwara United will thrive.”

The Afonja Warriors are set to face NPFL defending champions Enugu Rangers in their next match on Sunday, October 27, in Ilorin.
