Oreoluwa Agbenla: Nigerian midfielder, 18, joins AIK U19 from Remo Stars Reserves

Nigeria midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla has joined Swedish side AIK U19 from Remo Stars Reserves. The 18-year-old moves into the Stockholm club’s youth set-up as part of their latest intake ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Agbenla, who plays in central midfield and favours his right foot, has signed a deal running until 31 December 2030. The long-term contract underlines AIK’s commitment to integrating him into their development pathway over the coming seasons.

The move takes the Lagos-born player outside Nigeria for the first time in his career, stepping up from Remo Stars’ reserve ranks into one of Scandinavia’s most established academies. AIK U19 regularly supply players to the club’s senior squad and use their youth structure as a key route into Allsvenskan football.

Standing at 1.71m, Agbenla will now continue his progression in Sweden’s youth system, where AIK’s under-19 side compete against the leading academies in the country. His arrival adds further depth in midfield for the club at under-19 level.

Agbenla was born on 12 July 2008 and joins AIK shortly after turning 18, with his move registered on 17 July 2026. The transfer from Remo Stars Reserves to AIK U19 is a completed deal, with Agbenla now under contract with the Swedish club until the end of 2030.
